Trinity
I just finished this necklace for the 13 year old daughter of a friend. It's made of copper and stainless steel, is 18" long and approximately 3/16" diameter. I call the weave Trinity--it's got three rings per link, and it's intended to support a copper and steel mokume crucifix.
Since it was for a young lady, it's a fairly fine chain. I think it turned out well, even though it was pretty tedious to work on at times.
Here's the chain itself, with a quarter for scale:

Here's a close up shot showing the mixed stainless and copper rings.

Here's the chain on my 12 yo daughter. The length looks appropriate, and should continue to be usable as she grows.

Trizantine!
I've been digging the trizantine weave lately. I've made a 19" necklace from titanium rings, and a 8.5" bracelet from sterling silver rings. Both pieces use rings with the same gauge and inner diameter. Both also have the same overall diameter-3/8".
The sterling bracelet weighs in at just over 2 ounces...and the titanium necklace is half the weight. I think that's kinda cool!
Here's a picture of both of the chains:

Leather and Turkish Roundmaille Bracelet
I made this bracelet with about 3" of turkish roundmaille. The T.R. is made of 1/8" stainless steel rings, and looks really great...but it's really too large in diameter to make a comfortable bracelet and, honestly, I can't imagine weaving this stuff into a necklace. So, I make it as long as I can stand it, and then string it on cordage. This cordage is black leather, but I also string it on paracord to make lanyards/fobs.
Here's a wrist shot, just for chuckles...

Celtic Visions in Titanium
I'm home sick with the oldest tadpole...so I thought I'd post a picture of a bracelet I just finished up. It's a weave called Celtic Visions. The person who commissioned it wanted it in titanium...boy, it's super light weight! The weave seems like it wouldn't hold together, but it does. It's really grown on me...think I'll have to make more of this!

Sterling Wallet Chain
Here's a massive wallet chain I made of sterling silver rings. It ended up being 20" long, and weighed a little over 4 ounces. It's a trizantine pattern.
It's also attached to a sweet custom Big Papa biker wallet. I fabricated the leather tab to attach it because the clips I used wouldn't work on the grommet.

Here we go!
I decided to enter the 21st century with this blog. I do wirework...jewelry, small sculptures, etc. I'll be featuring some of my work, as well as highlighting some other crafts that my family and I do.
