Earrings

Here's a pair of Sterling Silver earrings I just finished up. They got good reviews from my lovely and charming wife and the girls...The pattern is called a mobius ball. I think they make great earrings!

Trinity

I just finished this necklace for the 13 year old daughter of a friend. It's made of copper and stainless steel, is 18" long and approximately 3/16" diameter. I call the weave Trinity--it's got three rings per link, and it's intended to support a copper and steel mokume crucifix.

Since it was for a young lady, it's a fairly fine chain. I think it turned out well, even though it was pretty tedious to work on at times.

Here's the chain itself, with a quarter for scale:

Here's a close up shot showing the mixed stainless and copper rings.

Here's the chain on my 12 yo daughter. The length looks appropriate, and should continue to be usable as she grows.

Flat Box bracelet in Titanium

Just finished up this flat box bracelet...in titanium. I used the same rings as the Celtic Vision weave. The bracelet is a little wider than the one I made in stainless steel (shown below...)

8.5" long, just under 1/2 inch wide, about 3/8" high.

Trizantine!

I've been digging the trizantine weave lately. I've made a 19" necklace from titanium rings, and a 8.5" bracelet from sterling silver rings. Both pieces use rings with the same gauge and inner diameter. Both also have the same overall diameter-3/8".

The sterling bracelet weighs in at just over 2 ounces...and the titanium necklace is half the weight. I think that's kinda cool!

Here's a picture of both of the chains:

Copper Viking Braid

Here's a bracelet/bangle I made using a viking braid technique. It's made of copper surrounding a stainless steel core. The stainless steel core gives it some shape and strength.

Leather and Turkish Roundmaille Bracelet

I made this bracelet with about 3" of turkish roundmaille. The T.R. is made of 1/8" stainless steel rings, and looks really great...but it's really too large in diameter to make a comfortable bracelet and, honestly, I can't imagine weaving this stuff into a necklace. So, I make it as long as I can stand it, and then string it on cordage. This cordage is black leather, but I also string it on paracord to make lanyards/fobs.

Here's a wrist shot, just for chuckles...

Celtic Visions in Titanium

I'm home sick with the oldest tadpole...so I thought I'd post a picture of a bracelet I just finished up. It's a weave called Celtic Visions. The person who commissioned it wanted it in titanium...boy, it's super light weight! The weave seems like it wouldn't hold together, but it does. It's really grown on me...think I'll have to make more of this!

Flat Box Bracelet

This bracelet is done in a flat weave pattern. The weave gives it a rectangular cross section, and makes a nice design. It's done with two different sized rings. This particular one is in stainless steel.

Sterling Earrings

The byzantine weave also makes good earrings. Here's a pair of sterling silver earrings I made. They're a little over an inch long. These make great Christmas presents!

Full Persian Necklace

Here's a full persian weave done as a necklace. It's in stainless steel, and is a great looking piece when worn. It measures 18" long and approx 1/2" in diameter.

The weave is fairly open, which gives it a great look when worn.

Sterling Wallet Chain

Here's a massive wallet chain I made of sterling silver rings. It ended up being 20" long, and weighed a little over 4 ounces. It's a trizantine pattern.

It's also attached to a sweet custom Big Papa biker wallet. I fabricated the leather tab to attach it because the clips I used wouldn't work on the grommet.

Stainless Steel Byzantine Bracelet

Here's a bracelet I've made of stainless steel rings. It measures about 3/8" diameter, and this one is just over 8" long. It's a great size for a bracelet, and wears well. I've sold several of these...it's fairly popular!

Here we go!

I decided to enter the 21st century with this blog. I do wirework...jewelry, small sculptures, etc. I'll be featuring some of my work, as well as highlighting some other crafts that my family and I do.
